My Story

Jotlily was born from a simple but powerful belief: no one should have to face their mental health struggles alone.

My name is Sanni, and I've struggled with my mental health for as long as I can remember. For years, I fought my battles in silence, carrying the weight of my experiences without the support I so desperately needed. It wasn't until spring 2023 that I finally found the perfect psychotherapist and began getting the help I had needed all along.

As I slowly started to heal, something shifted within me. I realised that going through so much alone had taught me something invaluable—and painful. I knew firsthand the isolation, the fear, the feeling that no one could possibly understand. But I also discovered the transformative power of finding someone who truly gets it.

In early summer 2024, I began reaching out to strangers I saw struggling on social media, offering my support and simply letting them know they weren't alone. What started as individual conversations grew into something beautiful—a small but mighty community of people supporting each other through life's darkest and brightest moments.

That community became Jotlily.

The Mission

Jotlily is first and foremost a safe space for anyone needing someone to listen.

Jotlily exists to provide support and understanding without judgement, creating connections that remind people they are not alone in their struggles. But our mission goes deeper than individual support—we're here to break the stigma surrounding mental health and create space for conversations about topics that are still considered taboo.

Sanni believes in the power of peer support because she understands something fundamental: you don't always need a professional to talk to. Sometimes it's enough to have someone who truly understands.

How I Support You

As someone who's walked this path and understands the struggle, I offer different ways to connect and find support. Each option is designed with one goal in mind: ensuring you never have to face your struggles alone.

Peer Support Group

I facilitate small group discussions where you can share your experiences with others who truly get it. These groups create safe spaces for authentic conversations about mental health topics that matter—from anxiety and depression to self-care and healing journeys.

Direct Peer Support

Sometimes you need someone to talk to who really understands. Through our community platform, you can reach out to me directly for one-on-one peer support conversations via our secure messaging system.

Mental Health Resources

Access our carefully curated library of mental health resources, including articles, worksheets, coping strategies, and educational content. All resources are created or reviewed by our community to ensure they're practical, accessible, and genuinely helpful.

Crisis Support Links

While Jotlily provides peer support, we recognise that sometimes you need immediate professional intervention. Our crisis support section provides instant access to professional helplines, emergency services, and crisis intervention resources.
